Pizza taking a toll on the environment?

Wood-fire pizza has recently become a pretty big deal, especially in places in Brazil, but it also comes at high price.

In the city of Sao Brazil, Brazil at least a million wood-fire pizzas are cooked per day.  To make that many pizzas per day takes a lot of wood, which can have dramatic effects.  It contributes to the deforestation problem and the emissions from the wood cause pollution.

Earlier in the year Brazil changed their fuel source for vehicles to be more eco-friendly and more recently made a pact to join the Paris Agreement.  So it was a surprise for most when they realized that pizza was ruining their emission standards.

Hopefully they will be able to fix this unforeseen problem and push forward with their advances for a better environment.
